New from Trail Designs - this is a revolutionary approach to alcohol stove lightweight cooking. The Trail Designs people of Yosemite, CA have created a cone and stove system that is tuned to your particular pot to create the most efficient alcohol stove system in the known universe.
By completely enclosing the pot and stove into the Caldera Cone, and fine tuning the Caldera Cooker to work in that environment, you are now able to milk every last ounce out of your fuel and funnel it onto all sides of your pot. Not only does the cone system optimize your fuel usage, but its wide base provides the most stable system on the market. And if that weren't enough, by totally enclosing the pot and stove, nothing performs better in the wind.
The Caldera Cone is lightweight and unfolds to pack flat or you can roll it up for easy storage.

It's not how much you carry that counts, what really matters is how much you are not required to carry. The cozy weighs only 1.1 ounces and will easily save it's weight in fuel-not-needed over and over again. The cozy keeps the heat in so food continues to cook long after you have taken the pot off the stove.
With the cozy, a meal that normally takes 25 minutes on the stove, you can cookfor about 6 or 7 minutes on the alcohol stove and then place the pot in the cozy. Seal up the cozy by simply pressing the insulation around the top. 20 minutes later the food is completly cooked and still too hot to eat.
This saves 20 minutes of fuel...every time. If you like a couple of cups of tea for breakie boil the water and the cozy will keep the rest of the water hot for you.

 | Trail Designs Primer
Primer
This is a great accessory for your alcohol stove. It provides a secure base for the stove and allows the stove to attain full temp for cooking in only 15 seconds. A good item for cold weather starting.
To use:
Place stove on Primer Pan and add desired amount of fuel to stove.
Put 1/4 teaspoon or about 15 drops of denatured alcohol in the primer pan.
Place cooking pot on the UNLIT stove.
Light the alcohol in the Primer Pan. That's all there is to it!
Why it works so well: In normal light-up and operation, you light the fuel in the stove and wait for it to reach full temperature before setting the pot on the stove. This is because the stove is heating the alcohol in the outer chamber of the stove from the center outward. It takes about 90 seconds this way and you should hold the pot about 2 inches above the stove to avoid wasting the BTUs. With the Primer Pan, the fuel in the outer chamber heats up from the outside inward thus reaching operating temperatures much faster. You will have a hotter and larger than normal flame at first but it will settle down when the Primer Pan alcohol is consumed.
