With a packed weight of just 790g the Laser Photon beats all comers, in the lightweight tent stakes, hands down. With the same shape and dimensions of the Laser Competition user comfort is not compromised and the Laser Photon will still sleep two on an event such at the OMM. New fabrics and pegs create the bulk of the weight saving after painstaking research by Terra Nova. Our new Titanium skewer weighs just 1g and is exclusively available on the Laser Photon.
In another first for Terra Nova the Laser Photon features a silicon coated groundsheet, which allows lighter weight fabrics to be used and still maintain water repellant performance.
The Laser Photon pitches flysheet first and the inner can be left connected, so it is exceptionally quick to erect. The transverse porch creates more usable space than a longitudinal porch and provides excellent shelter from the wind as well as a large entrance.

The award-winning Laser has been a popular favourite amongst backpackers and solo travellers as either a superlite 2 person or roomy single person tent since it first appeared in 2004 and revolutionised lightweight camping.
Now in 2009, the first major update to this modern-day classic sees the addition of some of the comfort features deemed "too heavy" for inclusion in the original. These include a second, smaller door at the back of the tent and two-way zips for the flysheet to allow roof ventilation, along with our new improved guylines and 2g Ti pegs. Despite this the Laser is still a Superlite 1.12kg minimum weight (1.24kg packed) and still has all of the internal and porch space, and the unique ventilation system, of the original.

With a minimum weight of 1.62Kg and a packed weight of just 1.88Kg the Laserlarge 1 is truly lightweight, full size backpacking tent for 2.
The cavernous inner offers masses of space for two backpackers and the porch will fit 2 full sized packs without compromising access. 7 guy points, coupled with the inherent aerodynamics and strength of a tunnel design, means the Laserlarge 1 can ride out some of the fiercest winds. But the same features, together with simultaneous flysheet and inner pitching, create a very easy tent to pitch. An important benefit for any backpacker.
Being fully waterproof and weighing a minimum of 1.59Kg the Laserlarge 1 offers excellent protection for backpackers who require more space, but want to keep weight to a minimum.
